On 15 December 2020, the European Commission published its proposal for a Regulation on contestable and fair markets in the digital sector, known as the Digital Markets Act (DMA).

The EIF event will be an opportunity to discuss the rationale and policy goals behind the proposal and expected impact on the markets. The debate will focus on the designation of gatekeepers, including who they are and the proposed thresholds, the list of obligations and prohibitions and their implementation, as well as the scope and timeframe for the market investigation tool.
