Patrick von Braunmühl is Senior Director Public Affairs at Bundesdruckerei. He is responsible for digital policy issues with a focus on digital identities, secure data exchange and cybersecurity. He is a registered attorney at law has over twenty years of professional experience in political and regulatory consulting in the ICT and media sectors. Before Bundesdruckerei he was Managing Director of the association Self-Regulation Information Society (SRIW) founded by Bitkom and leading companies of the ICT-sector (2012 – 2016). Earlier he worked i. a. as Senior Advisor for the German Development Agency (giz) in India (2009 – 2012), Head of Government Affairs for Cisco (2007 – 2008), Deputy Executive Director of the Federation of German Consumer Organisations (2002 – 2007), and as General Counsel for Lycos Europe (1999 – 2002).
