To mark 100 days after the start of the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen second term, the GSMA is partnering with POLITICO Live for an event "Scaling up Europe’s telecom sector" to discuss the bottlenecks holding back the telecom sector and how the Digital Networks Act can be effective in ensuring growth and protection for all players.

 

The much-awaited Digital Networks Act, expected this year, aims to boost the telecom sector: deploy the roll-out of 5G and fiber, reduce regulatory burden for the telecommunications industry and foster an investment-friendlier climate. 

 

Organised in partnership with GSMA, this event will convene European policymakers and industry experts to discuss the main hurdles holding back the telecom sector and how to implement key recommendations outlined in reports by Mario Draghi and Enrico Letta.
