Oliver Grün, born in 1969, is founder, sole shareholder and board member of GRÜN Software Group as well as president of the Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand e.V. and vice president of the IT-Mittelstand-Europaverband PIN-SME. Since 2013, he has also been a member of the Federal Government's IT Advisory Council, which advises the Federal Ministry of Economics on issues relating to the digital economy. In his scientific career based on the principle of lifelong learning, Grün first graduated in 2001 with a degree in engineering, then went on to complete two doctorates in the field of business information systems and is the author of various publications over the years. As early as 1989, the family man, who now lives in Belgium, founded his software company, which now employs around 100 people at six locations in various entities. Grün is also co-founder of the non-profit operator of the donation platform betterplace.org, now Germany's largest donation portal on the Internet. Besides his family, his greatest interest is sailing.
