ABOUT

Axel Ferrazzini is a seasoned intellectual property expert and innovator whose experience straddles technology research and development, business management and public policy development.

Axel joined 4iP Council as Managing Director in 2017 after having spent more than 15 years in the industry working in North America and in Europe. Axel has held Board level and advisory positions with the Open Mobile Alliance and DigitalEurope and is a member of the Board of ETSI since 2014 and of the Global Intellectual Property Alliance (GLIPA) since 2022.

He has been selected in the 2022 and 2023 editions of IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists. Axel has just been inducted in the upcoming IAM Strategy 300 Global Leaders 2024.

He has an MS in Computer Science and an Executive MBA in strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation and management from the ESSEC & Mannheim business schools.

He is a visiting professor at a leading Computer Science engineering school in Paris called EPITA, where he teaches 'Innovation, intellectual property rights and standardisation'.
