ABOUT

Goran was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, but has lived in Brussels for 16+ years. He initially worked as a policy adviser on cybersecurity and privacy to Members of the European Parliament (2007-2014), before transiting to the private sector, first as a public affairs consultant, then as an in-house lobbyist for cybersecurity firms Symantec (2018-2019) and BlackBerry (2020-2022), before joining Okta in October 2022. He has been working on cybersecurity and data protection policy since 2009. He went to college in Lille, Northern France, where he graduated with a Master's degree in political science. Goran speaks English, French, Spanish, Italian, and native Bulgarian.
