Birgit Sippel has been a Member of the European Parliament since 2009. Since 2014, she holds the position as S&D Coordinator in the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE). She has been recently designated as Member for the Artificial Intelligence Act Implementation Working Group and is the European Parliament's lead negotiator for the EU-U.S. eEvidence Agreement and ePrivacy Regulation as well as former Vice Chair for the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence in a Digital Age (AIDA).
