The EU's Cybersecurity Strategy and policy agenda focuses on building a resilient digital landscape across member states. The strategy emphasises prevention, protection, and response to cyber threats, aiming to secure essential services, critical infrastructures, digital products and citizens’ data.
The event will take stock of the cybersecurity legislative initiatives adopted during the last Commission mandate and look at the imminent implementation of those initiatives, notably NIS2, from both a national authority and from an impacted company point of view, including the cross-border nature of certain activities.
We will look at the challenges of implementation, whether it be linked to the transposition in Member States, reporting mechanisms, the availability of standards and certification schemes to underpin the successful implementation of these legislative initiatives, to name a few, whilst potentially identifying ways to address those challenges!
We will also project ourselves into the upcoming mandate of the European Commission and discuss potential initiatives ahead of us, including the review of the Cybersecurity Act, new EU certification schemes, Cybersecurity action plans notably for hospitals etc… and or gaps that may be identified in the cybersecurity landscape.
