Ulrich Clemens is Team Leader for the digital euro file in DG ECFIN’s unit dealing with Stability mechanisms, EMU deepening and legal affairs. He joined the Commission ten years ago originally as a Seconded National Expert from Deutsche Bundesbank, where he had worked as an economist in the Monetary Policy and Analysis division since 2012. An economist by training, he holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) and an undergraduate degree from the University of Konstanz, Germany.
