ABOUT

Based in Brussels since 1972, Peter Linton brings unique experience as an advisor on European policy and regulatory affairs. In 1989 he co-founded Robinson Linton Associates together with former European Commission Spokesman John Robinson. Robinson Linton Associates became a unit of Burson-Marsteller in 1996.  Peter Linton has been particularly active in information and communications industry sectors, and has helped pioneer the creation of the European Internet Foundation in 2000 - in 2014 it changed its name into 'European Internet Forum' to better reflect its 'raison d'etre' (www.internetforum.eu). EIF brings together elected politicians, ICT sector and civil society leaders to share understanding and experience of the digital revolution's impact on European societies and political systems. As a co-founder and Rapporteur of the  Transatlantic Policy Network (TPN) in 1993, Linton is also deeply involved in the development of political thinking for recasting Europe/U.S. relations to respond to new common challenges.  Linton is a native of Philadelphia and holds degrees from Dartmouth College, Stanford University and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
