The debate will focus on the Data Governance Act (DGA), which aims to boost data sharing in Europe. The DGA builds on four pillars: 1) Reuse of sensitive data held by public sector bodies, 2) A new framework for data intermediaries, 3) A framework for data altruism, 4) Coordination and interoperability supported by a European Data Innovation Board.

During the discussion, we would like to focus on a number of key questions related to the DGA: Who will be defined as a data intermediary and what will be their role? What will be the consequences of regulating these players for a not yet mature data market? How can this framework support the flow of data and create the technical conditions for data sharing?
